Unique for this role
As a growing organization, we are always looking for ways to optimize our ways of working. As part of that process, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will join our VP of FP&A in supporting internal teams and leaders with making data-based financial decisions, building commercial and financial skills across the organization, and fostering a risk/reward decision-making mindset.
How you'll make an impact
As a Finance Business Partner at Planday, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategies and partnering with senior leaders across the company to drive decision-making, optimize performance, and support business growth. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure financial goals are aligned with Planday’s long-term vision.
What you'll do
- Partner with senior leaders to enable faster and more informed decision-making and performance improvements.
- Support the VP of FP&A by providing insights and financial modelling to assess the implications of business decisions.
- Continuously improve data quality, processes, and the use of systems to enhance financial operations.
- Generate insights to recommend operational improvements, optimize performance, and adapt to changing business conditions.
- Lead finance components of planning, reporting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment between strategy and financial targets.
- Implement and optimize financial reporting and modelling to provide strategic insights and evaluate key metrics.
- Manage yearly financial deliverables, including the creation of the annual budget and periodic reporting.
- Own the month-end reporting cycle and financial close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

- Financial Expertise: You are able to independently interpret financial statements, KPIs, and ratios.
- Analytical Skills: You are analysing complex financial data and providing actionable insights to the teams and stakeholders you work with.
- Strategic Thinking: You are able to align financial goals with overall business objectives and contribute to the company’s long-term vision.
- Communication Skills: You are consistently translating financial data into clear, actionable information for non-finance stakeholders.
- Project Management: You are continuously driving various projects, from cost reduction initiatives to financial system implementations.
What you'll bring with you
- Experience in Saa S business models
- Expertise in spreadsheets and handling large datasets
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Solid understanding of P&L and Balance Sheets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a global environment
- Ability to communicate complex financial topics to any audience
