Manager for IT project managers in our Project Management Office
Hedehusene
FULL TIME
October 31, 2024
Time Type: Full Time
Does working with management of both people and projects within IT sound appealing to you?
Then join us in central role with access to top management and lead a team of highly skilled project managers, working on projects that are essential to DSV reaching our strategic goals.
“You’ll be an integral part of bringing to life some of the most important business initiatives, e.g. within digital strategy, preparation for future M&A’s or growth targets. It’s management at several levels in a buzzing PMO,” says Nanna Bjorn Koustrup, Senior Manager, Group PMO.
Welcome to Group PMO and our IT Cluster
In DSV Group Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a part of a group of 85 highly professional colleagues. Our mission is to provide high quality services and manage projects for the DSV organisation, supporting top management in executing global strategies. Specifically, you will be part of the IT Cluster and manage a group of project managers supporting and improving DSV IT projects.
“We have a very good community for knowledge-sharing – both within PMO and our IT Cluster,” explains Nanna.
Manage your team – and your own projects
You will be responsible for the development and daily leadership of your team of IT project managers in Denmark. This entails giving feedback, coaching, training and all other HR related tasks. Moreover, you will have your own projects to manage – primarily within IT.
Working closely with our stakeholders and across the management group, you will make sure the right people are allocated to the right projects. This includes coaching and advising on projects running both traditional waterfall and agile methodology. Also, you will:
- Apply expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established guidelines/policies
- Monitor KPIs and track planned deliveries, ensuring high quality, timely completion, and cost-effectiveness
- Actively contribute to and lead strategic initiatives (of scale) and decision-making
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to senior management, providing project updates and insights
- Engage in proactive stakeholder management, fostering strong relationships and collaboration on behalf of your team with SD/VP/EVP level stakeholders
- Act as a super user in the project portfolio management tool Clarity
Solid project management experience and technical expertise from a global IT organisation
On a personal level, you have strong inter-personnel and communication skills, allowing you to build and maintain business relationships and communicate to achieve defined business objectives. As a manager, you can create trust both towards top management and your team. And you know when to stand your ground when challenged. Finally, we imagine that you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree or higher and 10+ years of continuous project management experience with large corporate projects – preferably from a global PMO
- Have technical experience from working within a Global IT organisation and team leadership experience from a PMO or a similar organisation
- May have training or a certification in Prince2, SAFe, PMP, or related disciplines
- Perhaps hold a Prosci ADKAR certification
- Are fluent in English
