As the Modelshop Intern, you will be responsible for building models and mock-ups alongside our Modelshop team, in collaboration with our architecture project teams. The position offers exposure to all aspects of working in a model workshop including upkeep and facility improvement tasks.
NB: Please only apply if your internship can run for a minimum of 6 months.
Requirements:
- Be a current student. Graduates (master level and 5 yrs bachelor) cannot be considered as interns despite having a student status. We will follow up on your educational status and you will have to sign a declaration prior to your start.
- Basic skills in Rhino, advanced skills is a plus
- Experience with and a particular interest in physical model-making
- Experience with 3d-printing and laser cutting
- Knowledge of alternate making methods such as resin/plaster casting, etc. is a plus
- A noted attention to detail and interest in quality craft
- A flexible attitude towards new ways of working
- Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instructions
- Have great interpersonal communication skills
- Be fluent in English
- Available for at least 6 months
As a Modelshop Intern you will get to:
- Be responsible for model design and production
- Be responsible for managing and maintaining our 3D print farm
- Work on a variety of models, from quick sketches to final presentation models
- Work closely with our Architecture, Engineering, Landscape and Product Design teams
- Develop and expand your knowledge of making techniques and practices
- Be involved in our international and Danish projects
- Be part of the BIG experience
