Do you want to lead a specialist team that supports projects and optimizations in the production at the largest production site in Arla Foods Ingredients? Then you could be the colleague we are looking for!

Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories, including bakery, beverages, dairy as well as infant and sport nutrition. You will join AFI at our protein and lactose production site Danmark Protein in Nr.Vium, Denmark, where we work to continuously improve our production.

How you will make an impact
You will lead a team of 17 highly skilled production supporters and specialists dedicated to support implementation of projects and optimizations cost improvement in Production-1 at the site. One of the team members is the Dairy trainee responsible, who secure the ongoing education of 35 dairy Trainees. The position is within the Production-1 department reporting to the Senior Production manager.

The key focus in this role is to create a strong plan together with the Production and Building & Construction departments securing the right competences at the right time so we end up implementing the right solution in a safe way according to the agreed plan.

Your team is responsible for:

• Actively participating in the preparation of projects and optimizations
• Being part of the project implementation
• Having the overview over the production-1 operations
• Securing the work environment and food safety in projects and optimizations
• Acting as specialists in production and projects
• Securing the ongoing optimization of business continuity
• Securing the membrane change and optimization
• Securing the ongoing education of 35 dairy Trainees at a high level

Overall, your goal as the manager of the Operational Support team is to support project implementation and optimization in production-1 and lead the team with high engagement and commitment through cooperation with all other departments at Danmark Protein.

What will make you successful
We imagine that you have some years of experience working in similar position and a high level of production/operation flow knowledge and the ability to acquire new production/operation flow knowledge ongoing . In your leadership you are close to your direct reports and encourage to a good work life balance. You have acquired skillsets such as understanding complex production systems/plants across a number of departments. Ideally you have worked in an production environment with international scope. You are a very skillful communicator, and you are comfortable navigating among multiple stakeholders and have a sense of urgency to secure timely and consistent communication to everyone involved. You thrive on showing initiative and mandate, and you have an enthusiastic approach to your work and surroundings. Last, but not least, you are proficient in written and spoken English.
