Your role and responsibilities

If you want to enhance your project management skills as part of the hottest business area in Denmark now and in the years to come, this is your chance. We are looking for two new colleagues. Someone who thrives in technical complex upgrade projects that span several years and someone who thrives in green field projects including commissioning spanning 6-18 months No matter your role, your focus will be the same. As Project Manager you are the one to ensure timely high-quality deliveries that matches the customer’s expectations and the spec’s you have agreed on. You will do so by managing, setting direction and motivating your teams of typically 4-20 ABB Project Engineers from our global organisation. All projects are centered on implementation of ABB’s 800x A automation / control system and cover design, procurement, testing, delivery, and commissioning. The vast majority of our projects are p.t. in Kalundborg. You are free to choose if you want to be part of our Kalundborg or Ballerup office as long as you understand, that you need to spend the majority of your time together with your various teams of engineers on site and/or at the relevant office. Your responsibilities: • Be the interface to the customer and secure the needed information to start new projects • Create and manage project plans, follow-up and coordinate activities within the project team • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule • Create and deliver monthly follow ups both that covers economy as well as status on deliveries • Manage contracts – coordinate with procurement and manage subcontractors • Contribute to tendering – project management, review cost calculations and assess risks • Spot opportunities for additional sales and interact with the right people to turn ideas into projects

Qualifications for the role

• Engineering education within electrical/automation or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience within automation especially commissioning of large control systems. (Knowledge about ABB 800x A would be a plus)
• Minimum 3 years project management experience and motivation for further development and education – we are ready to invest in you
• Motivation for working in a regulated industry with high-level documentation standards
• Interest in technology
• A commercial mindset – you understand the overall project economy and like the on-going negotiation part of the job
• Good communication skills and the ability to motivate and drive a team of engineers forward
