Join Our Dynamic Team:

In your role as a DFM & Tool Design Specialist your daily tasks include collaborating with Mechanical Designers to provide design insights for manufacturing, collaborating with your colleagues in the tooling area deliver robust tooling solutions.
You will utilize your practical know-how and understanding of the molding process to offer valuable input to tool designers and mechanical part designers. We believe in Design for Manufacturing as the process of “making a functional part in the most effective and simple way”.

In the Tool Design Center Team, we focus on providing valuable feedback to Mechanical Designers while designing tools for our production sites. This role is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical understanding and explore innovative solutions.

You will report to the Manager for the Tool Design Center and be part of a team consisting of 5 Tool Designers & Design of Manufacturing specialists. The position is based at our Head Office in Smørum, Denmark, and we offer flexible work-from-home options, up to two days per week.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with R&D in New Product Introduction to mature plastic part designs for manufacturing readiness.
Use Moldex3D to simulate plastic parts and provide Design for Manufacturing inputs.
Collaborate with other Tool Designers and Tool suppliers to make robust and verified Tool Designs
CAD Construction of production and prototype tools for plastic, silicone, etc.

What we are looking for
The Ideal candidate is very knowledgeable in Injection Flow Simulation and has a good understanding of Tool Design. Enjoys working with a team and deep diving into development and problem solving.
It is important to have a pragmatic mindset to troubleshooting in product development.

You hold an education in Tool Design and has deep knowledge of Injection Moulding Simulation.

Besides this, you bring:

Familiarity with Tool Design
Practical understanding of Plastic Part manufacturing
CAD expertise
High proficiency in both written and spoken English

Competencies

You will be working in an organization currently undergoing a transformation to adopt an agile development setup. Familiarity with agile methodologies (SAFe) would be beneficial.
On a personal note, you are detail oriented, good at giving concise feedback and have a keen ability to solve problems effectively.
