Senior Finance Partner supporting Strategic & BD Finance

Are you motivated by the opportunity to support Senior Management in Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT) with evaluating and analysing M&A opportunities and other strategic decisions? The position
As a Senior Finance Partner you will be responsible for driving, preparing and communicating parts of the financial valuation and analysis process on selected Business Development projects.

You will secure involvement and collaboration with functional areas within the Finance organisation, Business Development and line of business.
Based on your experience, you will further get an opportunity to impact and lead the continued development of financial models, tools and processes relevant for the work that is being performed in the team.
As the role requires you to have a strong business understanding, you are expected to also invest time in familiarising yourself with the broader Novo Nordisk value chain, the external environment we are operating within and in particular with the PSQIT business.

Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree within business or economics, a strong financial toolbox and optimally also business development or M&A experience.
You have strong financial modelling skills, allowing you to perform financial valuation analysis including sensitivity analysis, scenarios and simulations.
You are energetic and have a natural curiosity to learn about the pharmaceutical value chain and manufacturing specifically. The atmosphere in Strategic & BD Finance is informal, the team is diverse albeit relatively small and we build on a “start-up like” team spirit.

About the department
You will join Strategic & BD Finance, a recently established department, reflecting Novo Nordisk’s – and PSQIT’s - increased focus on external business development opportunities. Strategic & BD Finance works closely together with our Business Development teams in a matrix organization, collaborating across Finance functions in developing and maturing the financial evaluations of various opportunities – however mainly focused on Brownfield acquisitions. Focus is additionally on supporting stakeholders with in-depth financial analysis and clear recommendations on strategic decisions across PSQIT. We aim to act as trustworthy business partners based on our financial competencies, combined with a broad and thorough understanding of the business in which we operate.
