The position

As (Senior) International Medical Manager you will be responsible for providing medical input to support device development.

Key responsibilities include:

Conduct Clinical Evaluations of medical devices, during which you leverage your clinical background and scientific understanding to evaluate the safety, performance, benefits, and potential risks of the device under evaluation.

Review and provide medical input to key documents related to design and development of medical devices.

Assess the need for clinical trials and establish clinical development programs.

Provide high-quality input during health authority interactions.

In this position you will have a high degree of independence, and decisions taken have a high degree of business impact. In addition, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within Novo Nordisk's global organization and countries all over the globe. The position includes limited traveling activity.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

University degree as a Medical Doctor and scientific training at Ph D level or similar.

Previous experience in a patient-facing role.

Experience (2 years+) with clinical development of pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, or Software as Medical Device development (Sa MD).

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Written and verbal proficiency in English.

You should be willing to move to Denmark and work in an international arena. Novo Nordisk will support you and your family with the relocation.

About the department

Medical & Science Devices & Digital Health has the medical responsibility over the growing portfolio of medical devices in Novo Nordisk. This includes drug delivery devices, such as pen-injectors, devices with connectivity features, injection needles and Sa MD. The responsibility of the department covers the entire device lifecycle from early research to post-approval life-cycle management.

We work in a highly cross-organizational fashion, typically at the interface between drug and device development. Our interactions involve a multitude of internal stakeholders with diverse backgrounds including device R&D, Clinical Reporting, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs. Our key external stakeholders are the medical and scientific community, medical experts and regulatory authorities. Our team consists of 16 medical doctors. As a team, we highly value knowledge sharing, mutual support, and team spirit.
