Job Description
We invite you to bring your expertise within contract drafting, negotiation and dispute handling into play as you work in the cross field between law and business in a global environment. To excel in this role, you are motivated by working in a multidisciplinary environment and have a sound professional and theoretical foundation that enables you to communicate complex legal content in a clear manner.
If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Legal department as our new Lawyer and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role
As our new Lawyer, you will be part of our Legal department in Denmark.
The Legal Team in Denmark is located in Aarhus & Copenhagen. We are 14 employees in the team and as our new colleague, you will be part of a department characterized by a dynamic and informal working environment. We value a high level of professionalism and we offer great possibilities for personal and professional development and challenges, along with a high level of flexibility. Our clients are Ramboll’s board, managers and colleagues at all levels and within a wide range of specialized areas within the fields of engineering and architecture. The working method is characterized by a high degree of freedom followed by responsibility, where you get the chance to set your mark. You will be expected to work independently, but you can always count on support and consulting with your colleagues.
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts especially on consultancy services within engineering and architecture
  • Advice on strategy and risk handling in different types of projects
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to our highly specialised colleagues in the engineering and architectural business
  • Handle and find solutions to disputes – often including complex details
  • Collaborate with and support the business in arbitration cases and other disputes, often in collaboration with external counsels
  • Standardise and draft model contracts and other legal documents
  • Provide training sessions for non-legal colleagues

From the moment you join Ramboll we will support your personal and professional development. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
  • A Master of Laws/lawyer/Master of Business Law degree
  • Solid experience with contract drafting and dispute handling
  • Excellent negotiating and writing skills in both Danish and English
  • Knowledge of Danish construction law is considered advantageous
  • Creative problems solver
  • Strong team player
On a more personal level, you have a pro-active and solution-oriented approach to your work, and you are not afraid of being decisive. As we work closely together in the team and we all have different areas of expertise, you understand the importance of teamwork and you are keen on learning from others as well as sharing your expertise – all qualities that will help you succeed in this role.
What we can offer you
  • Flexible work environment with the possibility of working from home a few days a week
  • Pension scheme via PFA including health insurance
  • Technical excursions and social events
  • 24 weeks of paid parental leave for fathers, mothers, and LGBTQ+ families

  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
  • Projects that are challenging and that enable you to make a real difference
