As our new Senior Manager, you will be central in developing the VELUX Energy Excellence Management System and implementing it across all entities. This system is expected to accelerate further the ongoing step-change towards increased energy efficiency in VELUX while also ensuring VELUX Group compliance towards the New EU Energy Efficiency Directive II.



Your challenges


All our European factories already have locally individually certified energy management systems. Your task will be to lift our system effectiveness - to the next Excellent level – by uniting these systems within a new global Energy Excellence Management system framework securing a holistically effective system by covering all needed key global processes and systems that goes across all factories, sites and systems.

As Senior Manager VELUX Energy Excellence Management System, you will join the Global Energy & Climate team of 4 skilled colleagues – part of our global QHSE&E organization - and you will report directly to Director Global Energy & Climate, Kim Jonas. We collaborate cross-functionally with global support functions like Sustainability, ESG, Production Management, Technology Engineering and Facility and not at least locally with factories and their locally established energy teams.

You will be acting as Energy Excellence System Program Manager for building up the new global ISO 50001 certifiable energy management system. You will achieve this in close cooperation with local and global colleagues with energy management responsibility, external consultants and a program team of experienced employees within energy efficiency, certified energy management and energy auditing. You will be the system manager and responsible for operating and improving the system on an ongoing basis.

The aim is to support the local and global systems and sites in reaching Energy Excellence and Zero Carbon by rolling out Global Energy Excellence management system processes and standards and by utilising our existing global energy monitoring system. Therefore, it is key that you are able to engage with and support the local teams to follow through on developing, training, implementing and auditing on the local implementation and global Energy Excellence Management system requirements.

Your primary tasks will be to:

• Act as program manager for developing and implementing a global certifiable ISO 50001 Energy Management system
  
• Secure effective system and global processes development by close collaboration with different levels of responsible users in the organisation to ensure business value creation
  
• Secure a robust implementation by designing and rolling out training and internal audits supported by a global energy auditing team organised within the global energy team
  
• Monitor and improve the system effectiveness and value creation within Global functions and business areas (Residential and Commercial) where we have our production and together with our global Facility covering other sites like sales & marketing sites
  

Preferably, you will be based at our newly built Innovation Center in Østbirk where many of your key colleagues are based, but you can also work from our headquarter in Hørsholm. You will be part of a global organisation and can expect to travel approximately 40 days annually – both in Denmark and in Europe.

Your qualifications

We will come to know you as structured, methodical and systematic. Utilizing your analytical mind-set you are proficient in handling, analysing and structuring complex systems and processes and translating these into clear, systematic and user friendly processes and actions that easily integrate with existing organizations and frameworks and create value for the business.

You are a proficient communicator with natural skills of building working relationships which enables you to work across a broad stakeholder landscape and operate in a matrix-like organization. Through your adjustable approach and significant presentation and communication skills, you confidently guide stakeholders of all levels, ensuring their collaboration by knowing the appropriate moments for insistence and composure. You feel comfortable in a facilitator role where you will train the trainers, steer our lead auditor program, and making sure that local teams are able to follow-through on initiatives.

Moreover, you:

• Might hold a Master or Bachelor degree in production, engineering or other relevant technical area
  
• Bring several years of experience within most of the following disciplines: ISO 50001 certified energy management on corporate level, leading energy auditing, energy reviews, energy efficiency projects and energy project/program management
  
• Have solid experience developing ISO 50001 energy management systems from working in a similar inhouse position at an international production company or from working as a lead or senior Energy Management Consultant supporting large international corporations
  
• Speak and write English at a professional level
