Senior Material Scientist

Would you like to provide scientific leadership in the field of material science to support GMP manufacturing of clinical and/or commercial biopharmaceutical products? '

And can you give input on deviations and support investigations on material-related issues?

Then we hope you are our new experienced Material Scientist colleague in our newly created team!

Your New Role

You will have an important role as sparring partner with the various stakeholders in the organization and be the expert on material-related issues.

Your Primary tasks

Lead or support the material science aspect of Technology Transfers
Perform Leachables/Extractables assessments
Provide impact assessments to material-related changes
Provide technical risk assessments for new materials
Evaluate vendor-initiated changes to materials
Provide interpretation of material science data, analyze laboratory- or vendor data to solve material related problems
Support evaluation and implementation of regulatory guidelines and regulations related to materials

Skills & Talent, we hope you possess

Master or Ph.D. within material science, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
Good communication skills and fluency in English
You naturally take leadership for projects and will ensure project team understanding of tasks, timely completion and follow up
Are transparent in your communication, value open and honest dialogues
Knowledge and/or experience with leachables/extractables and single-use systems/disposables would be an advantage

The Team

The Material Science team is a newly created team. From October 2024 the team is started by centralizing Subject Matter Experts from different areas of specialty. This creates a unique opportunity to be part of the scoping of the roles and responsibilities of the team.

Our site in Hillerød, Denmark, brings together expertise, capabilities and technologies to manufacture advanced biologics. The large scale manufacturing facility has a capacity of 120,000 liters to reliably manufacture biologics for late phase and commercial use. We commenced 6 billion DKK projects to double our manufacturing capacity and to add fill finish to the site.
