POSITION SNAPSHOT
Title: Customs Clearance Specialist
Location: Cairo, Egypt


A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Customs Clearance of raw materials/machines/spare parts in the shortest lead time


  • Customs Clearance at the optimum cost


  • Cost optimization through tariffs reduction by checking alternative sources with bilateral / preferential trade agreements


  • Ensure supply through on time payment to suppliers.
  • Follow up on blocked & parked invoices and account management are key activities


  • Improve storage and demurrage cost through networking with clearing agents, and shipping lines. Regular meetings, sharing scorecards are key activities ++networking with decision makers in the Import & Export authority


  • Daily Follow up activities:
  • Managing Customs Payments 2) Customs Documentation follow up 3) Contact shipping lines to follow up on consignments 4) Work with clearing agents on the release of consignments 5- Plan dispatches from Port to WH / factory within allowed capacities


ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any relevant field.
  • 1 – 2 Years of Experience
  • Good understanding in Egyptian laws and Regulations governing
  • Excellent Communication skills.
