Main Responsibilities
The Senior Process Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and review processes of the wastewater treatment plant as part of the Al Gabal El-Asfar expansion. The role involves ensuring that process designs are aligned with international standards, optimizing plant performance, and incorporating energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
Specific tasks include
- Reviewing and approving technical designs for wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Overseeing process design aspects during the construction phase, ensuring that the facility meets the required specifications.
- Collaborating with the Process Engineering Expert and other team members to ensure consistency across all design elements.
- Managing and optimizing the treatment plant’s operational processes, particularly focusing on sludge management and anaerobic digestion.
- Providing technical guidance and problem-solving support during both the design and operational phases.
- Utilizing computer technology to analyze process data, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports.
- Ensuring all design and operational changes are implemented in accordance with the project’s goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in environmental engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in process design for wastewater treatment plants, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
- Proven experience in at least two similar projects involving the design or review of wastewater treatment processes.
- Strong technical knowledge in the design and implementation of wastewater treatment facilities, including anaerobic digestion.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and software for process design and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
