Valleysoft | Center of Excellence is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Quality Control software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes to ensure that our products and services meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and quality.
As a senior, he/she will be responsible for reviewing the software requirements; preparing test plans; reporting defects; preparation of test reports, and execution of test using various testing methods. Other duties include designing and developing automation scripts; detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies; applying quality engineering principles; and providing support and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Define testing strategies and approaches for different types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance).
• Execute test cases and manage test cycles, ensuring that all functionalities are thoroughly tested.
• Identify, document, and track defects or issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Provide detailed test reports and summaries, including defect reports, test results, and test coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Facilitate communication between teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Analyze and improve testing processes, practices, and methodologies to enhance overall quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically requires from 2 to 4 years of experience
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices (e.g., functional, regression, performance, and security testing).
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Test NG).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, developers, and other team members.
• "ISTQB Advanced level certificate" is must
• "ISTQB Agile Tester certificate" is preferred
