Senior Tax Accountant

.ROLE SUMMARY
The Candidate’s main objective shall ensure meeting the tax operational needs in Egypt. The successful candidate shall work closely with the corporate team, Businesses teams and service providers. The successful candidate shall ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns collaborating with Global Solutions teams to prepare required analysis as required by tax authorities while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations.
ROLE PROFILE
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the preparation of all periodical compliances which include VAT, WHT (Local & Offshore), Payroll Tax, corporate tax etc.
- Review of documentation which includes contracts, invoices etc. to determine the correct tax treatments and ensure that all back-up data i.e., schedules, working papers in relations to all taxes compliances collected and kept on regular basis .
- Work closely with the consultants for review, finalization and filing of the tax compliance filings.
- Liaise with the tax authorities for all the ongoing audits and other tax compliance while building and maintaining a good relationship with the tax representatives.
- Responsible for reviewing the tax portal on monthly basis to ensure that all periodical compliances submitted, and payment reflected and checked on the tax portal while keeping the payment proof.
- Preparing needed tax reports for various forms of tax.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting is a must.
- Minimum 5-6 years of similar experience, having worked in a Tax environment in a large organization.
- Good practical Tax and statutory knowledge
- Working in an Audit firm is recommended.
- Chartered Accountant (CA/ ACCA/ CPA/ ICAEW) is preferable.
- Having knowledge of the real estate sector is recommended.
