USAID's TRADE Project - Operations Internship
We are searching for an experienced USAID's TRADE Project - Operations Internship at our Egypt facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
USAID’s Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy to substantially increase Egyptian exports from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on seven sectors: engineering products, food processing, home textiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, building materials, printing, and packaging. Through the project, USAID works with the Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and reduce trade barriers. USAID also partners with business associations and export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small- and medium-sized exporters and with private companies to help them access new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and drive economic growth.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Acting Operations Manager, the Intern will assist TRADE staff in various organizational, clerical, and administrative tasks to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include:

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Acting Operations Manager, the Intern will assist TRADE staff in various organizational, clerical, and administrative tasks to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with small purchases.
- Help in updating the shared point.
- Update operations trackers.
- Assist with drafting Memos and Purchase Orders.
- Filing operations documents (both hard and soft copies).
- Assist with any other administrative or logistics requests.
Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Fresh graduates with a University Degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Microsoft Office Skills (MS Windows, Excel, Word, etc.) and formatting letters and documents.
- Attention to details and good analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage complex activities and complete tasks on time.
- A friendly and outgoing nature, able to support an extensive and international team of professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize tasks, and ask for guidance when needed.
