Introduction

We are seeking Application Specialist, Engineering, to join the Engineering & PLM team in Metso IT Applications. You will be part of the team responsible for the development and advanced support of PLM Applications and related interfaces. Your role plays a crucial part in Metso PLM-roadmap implementation. In this position, you will report to Markku Pienimäki, Manager, Equipment Engineering & PLM Applications.

This position is located in Finland, Espoo or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. We also hope you are willing to travel when needed (< 20% of the work schedule).

Team you belong to

You will join a team of Engineering and PLM professionals in IT dedicated to fulfilling needs and requirements from business areas. We are currently working on to support Corporate ERP initiative and consolidation of PLM environment.

We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Engineering & PLM team members, business representatives, partners and peer IT teams. You also interact with peers and follow overall applications development in other companies.

What you’ll do

Collect and document requirements.
Perform functional analysis.
Design, build/test/document solutions as required and perform knowledge transfers to stakeholders.
Be part of agile development team(s) where you contribute in planning as well as execution of development initiatives.
Support the users and Application Owner in troubleshooting with both application and business process issues.

Who you are

To succeed in the role you should have a strong background with Siemens Teamcenter PLM solution.
We assume you to have minimum of 3 years of related experience and bachelor’s or master’s degree either in Information Technology or Engineering.
Although not a prerequisite, a good understanding of SAFe, Lean, Agile ways of working is preferable.
We are looking for a person who has good skills and understanding for business processes & requirements and is willing to co-operate with different stakeholders.
A development-oriented mindset and ambition to improve the ways to operate is essential in this role.
You should have self-directed working style and you are used to working in a hectic and multitasking environment.
You have excellent communication skills and fluent written and spoken in English.
