Introduction
We are seeking for a Technical Product Manager, Mechanical to join our Sampling Solution team in the Automation Product Group. With the sampling solutions portfolio, Metso is offering a unique value for minerals processing companies by enabling representative sampling, which is a cornerstone in standardized and bankable material balance management and reliable process control with online analyzers.
In this key role, you will be the owner of the technical design of the sampling products in your portfolio, developing new and maintaining existing sampling solutions for the minerals processing industry. You will also be responsible for sampling the product portfolio to ensure product competitiveness and growth. In this position, you will report to Senior Product Manager, Samplers.
The preferred location for this position is Espoo, Finland, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that some domestic and international travel is required in the position.
What you’ll do
Follow the commercial success of your portfolio and build the product and portfolio strategy
Design and develop new sampling products, maintain and develop further the existing portfolio and related solutions.
Produce and maintain product documentation as needed.
Provide technical support for internal and external stakeholders in sales, delivery projects and service with technical expertise of the products under your responsibility
Provide product training and technical assistance for external and internal users
Support marketing and promotion of Metso´s sampling portfolio in trade shows, conferences, webinars and customer seminars
Work with subcontractors and component suppliers to ensure timely product deliveries
Contribute to sales materials and continuous improvement of tools and way of working
Who you are
MSc or BSc in mechanical engineering or similar
Understanding piping design Fundamentals and Fluid dynamics and knowledge about sampling theory is an asset
Prioritizing skills with a strong focus on customer value
Ability to manage engineering work in multiple tasks and knowledge of Machine Safety Directive and other Design Standards
Experience in using engineering and PDM tools efficiently (preferably Solid Works and Enovia)
Experienced in Design for Manufacturability
Good written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to speak Finnish is considered an advantage.
