Are you looking for fresh winds in your life? Are you ready to reach new heights in your career? Nordex Finland is now looking of a new Area Logistics Manager to join our Project Management team.
This position is responsible for the safe and timely transport of wind turbine components to construction sites within the Nordics Region. The logistics manager will function as a single point of contact for any project-related logistics topic during project execution, plan, coordinate, and control all steps of logistic operations, collaborate with Global Sourcing, investigate quality issues, and manage a team of two people. The ideal candidate should have several years of professional experience in logistics, team management, and commercial management.

YOUR TASKS

Full responsibility for the transport of wind turbine components to constructions sites for all assigned projects within Nordics Region: Ensure that transport takes place with highest focus on safety whilst also on time, within budget and components are delivered to site damage free.
Planning, coordination and controlling both operationally and commercially all steps of Logistic operations of wind turbines from supply points to construction sites and providing monthly budget forecasts to project team.
Coordination of transport together with the different internal and external production facilities, construction sites, contracted transport providers, ports, storage areas and any other relevant stakeholder.
Close collaboration with Global Sourcing in RFQ preparation for inland transportation, port operations and supplier choice and performance review.
Maritime transport planning & supervision together with global logistics for project cargo from pick-up to port of destination; Ensure coordinated execution of pre-runs and shipments meeting project needs. Interface with the regional Project Managers and Global Logistics.
Investigate and close out quality issues relating to project specific transports and participation in internal improvement programs with lessons learnt from related investigations.
Supporting Sales and Tender team for feasibility studies of new projects.
Supporting Transport Crane & Installation Sourcing teams in new and existing countries of destination, supporting with QHSE audits.
Managing a team of 2 People.

YOUR PROFILE

Several years of professional experience in the field of Logistics / Supply Chain / Heavy transports throughout Nordics Region and familiar with local regulations with regards to normal and over-size transports together with 3 years of team management experience.
Commercial management, experience in developing Logistics Frame Agreements.
Experience of managing off-site road modifications relating to abnormal load deliveries is a plus, coordinating with road authorities and contractors is a plus.
Experience in the wind industry is a plus.
Experience in finding and developing suppliers in new regions: proactively collaborating with suppliers to ensure highest levels of safety and quality.
University graduated, preferably in Logistics and/or Transport.
Good computer skills are needed, especially MS Office, MS Project & SAP
Fluent in English is a must, Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus.
Good project management knowledge
