The Alzheimer’s opportunity is one of the most exciting we have seen in the history of Lilly! Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is one of the leading causes of death, with no current medications for cure or prevention.
The Alzheimer’s Brand Manager role is responsible for developing and executing the local Alzheimer’s strategy derived from the Nordic strategy; influencing policy and system readiness for disease modifying treatments and leading the integration and delivery of marketing, medical, PRA and other components as needed. The focus will be to prepare the ecosystem to support accurate and timely diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease as well as establish and refine a clear value proposition for the upcoming Alzheimer’s treatments that must be relevant and motivating to patients, payers, and prescribers in Finland.
Key Responsibilities
Brand strategy development and brand management:
- Understand the diagnostic landscape for Alzheimer’s, competitor efforts and the needs of patients, caregivers, physicians and payers.
- Implement strategies for brand and diagnostics (blood biomarkers, CSF biomarkers, and PET tracers, including Lilly assets).
- Develop Customer and Operational Plans, in line with Global Brand Strategy and as part of the annual integrated planning approach framework.
- Based on a Global with Local approach, leverage tactics and solutions from the International business unit where possible and develop insights-based marketing strategies and plans that create exceptional customer experiences that lead to the achievement of business objectives and results.
- Understand and anticipate the implication of changing market/competitive dynamics on the Brand and Diagnostic strategy and the execution; adjust course in a timely
Thought Leader Engagement (TLE):
- Engage actively with key Thought Leaders (Regional, National, and International), to build long-term business relationship, and to uncover mutual opportunities of strategic partnerships.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead the local brand team and have an active role in the Nordic brand team, working effectively with cross-functional team members from medical, sales, regulatory, price reimbursement, and access (PRA), finance
- Foster innovation and drive continuous improvement by adapting to/leading change and demonstrating resilience and ‘can do’-attitude
- Seek commonalities and opportunities for synergy across the Nordic countries, to help reduce volume of work and maximise efficiencies
Brand Operations & Execution Excellence:
- Lead with, and ensure adherence to, integrity and compliance in all that we do
- Responsible for understanding, implementation, and adherence to company policies, processes, and external obligations, as applicable
- Accountable for tracking and managing materials throughout their lifecycle via the material process. Including uploading of content in Veeva and review key content creation and withdrawal in accordance with the material procedure. Ensure that all programs are 100% compliant with local Code of Practice and local procedures. Work closely with the Medical Review team and incorporate suggested changes as needed
- Develop and deliver brand content in sales training for new sales team members within market
- Uncover opportunities of simplification and automation across operations and execution of the plans
- Monitor and track performance of the brand across the market.
- Manage country/market OPEX budgets and tracking, including appropriate management of brand resources
This role require travel. We estimate 20-40% but will vary depending on phase in brand lifecycle
Skills and Experience Required
- Demonstrated learning agility.

- Experience in marketing. Brand planning / brand strategy development.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver strong results.
- Ability to develop multichannel and digital marketing campaigns.

- Ability to engage cross functional Teams (Medical, PRA, Corporate Affairs. Ethics and Compliance, Legal).
- Demonstrated relationship management skills (both internal and external)
- Enthusiastic - ability to energise and motivate others
- Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude. Achieves results through others across functions, geographies, and a variety of personality styles.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English in addition to local language.
