We are looking for an experienced and strategic
Business Development Manager
to support in strategy implementation and lead the company’s key development initiatives. As part of the Business Development & Transformation team you will be involved in a variety of strategic topics and work cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders which will provide an excellent view into the company’s strategy and operations. In this role you will use your strong analytical skills and development mindset to prepare strategy materials and drive the most important development projects globally.
This is a full-time and permanent position in which you will report to the Head of Business Development. The role will be based at the Marimekko headquarters in Helsinki.

Main responsibilities:
- Act as project manager for the most important strategic development initiatives across the business
- Create analyses and materials to support the annual strategy process with the Marimekko Management Board
- Create complex financial models to evaluate profitability of potential strategies and/or initiatives
- A Master’s degree in Economics or equivalent
- 5+ of working experience in management consulting or in international consumer/retail/brand companies in a strategy role
- Very strong analytical skills (incl. advanced Excel) with ability to present data and insights effectively
- Solid financial expertise and understanding of the mechanisms of profitable business
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to make things happen in good spirit by inspiring and getting everyone on board
- Ability to work under pressure
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Expertise in global omnichannel retail and/or consumer products particularly in Asia considered an advantage
