We are looking for an self-driven Category Marketing Specialist to take over the ownership of Suunto’s bone condution headphone category. The person we look for owns the marketing calendar of the headphones and is responsible for planning and executing Suunto’s global marketing activities and product launches together with the wider marketing team. In this role you get to work closely with product, design and sales & marketing teams, as well as agencies and freelancers, driving commercial success of the product category including new product launches and in-market portfolio. This is also a great opportunity to contribute to high-tech consumer solutions for global markets in a challenging technology environment.
This role sits in our HQ marketing team, reporting to Head of Category Marketing, and plays a key role in driving the commercial success of the headphone category.
Main responsibility areas in this role are:

• Planning the global marketing calendar for bone conduction headphones to guide all the channels in promotion and communication
• Making Suunto’s bone conduction headphones desirable by creating consumer facing marketing content
• Preparing sales enablement materials for our global marketing and sales teams.
• Ensuring new product initiatives are clearly positioned and deliver consumer relevant benefits.
• Leading the creative process to deliver global marketing assets that inspire and connect with consumers, build brand equity and create product demand.
• Managing external agencies’ work, budgets and timelines from brief to asset delivery.
• Creating marketing toolkits for headphone campaigns.
• Guides channel and local teams in execution.

You are excited on taking a deep dive into the relatively new category of open ear headphones.
You should have the following qualification and skills:

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience from Category/Product Marketing and/or Brand Management preferably in a global environment.
• Experience from product launches. Consumer electronics / outdoor industry experience is a plus.
• Experience in B2C marketing campaign planning and material creation.
• Good understanding and experience in digital and multi-channel marketing (ecom, etail, retail, email, mobile, social and influencer marketing etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Business fluent in English, Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Project management skills, pragmatic hands-on approach, ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge and experience from outdoor sports such as trailrunning, skitouring, cycling or open water swimming is considered as a plus.
• Knowledge about headphones is considered as a plus.
