Manager, Payments

to join our Global financial Services (“GFS”) organisation in Neste headquarters in Espoo Finland. GFS organisation provides company level operational financial services in all Neste companies worldwide.

In your role, you lead Payments team based in Espoo.Your primary responsibilities will encompass the supervision of the payments team, manage daily work assignments and operations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold precise payments accounts and sustain stakeholder relationships. You will drive continuous development of the daily operational work and way of working in the Payments team.

In your position you will work closely with Global Financial Services' teams, regional finance managers, treasury, accounts payable and payments global process owner, IT solution manager and auditors. You are a member of the GFS Management Team and you’ll report to the Head of Global Financial Services.

Your role in our team

• Creating an inspiring environment with an open communication culture
• Defining team’s priorities and focus areas for the worth coming year
• Managing team’s daily assignments, workload, training, overall performance and feedback
• Overseeing, developing and communicating processes performance KPIs and targets to internal & external stakeholders
• Promoting and developing common working procedures, way of workings and work instructions
• Supporting and guiding team members in their daily and closing work
• Driving automated and scalable payments operations to all group entities

Keys to success in this role

• Previous experience in leading people as a line manager or leading virtual / project teams
• Knowledge of SAP ERP, bank & financial items accounting principles and global cash management processes
• Knowledge of global cash management i.e. but not limited batch & manual payment processes, bank post processing, bank statement monitoring and fund transfers operations
• Courage to drive change, develop and deploy new ways of workings and operational service delivery models
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, virtually and in person
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish
• Applicable education, e.g. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or business administration

The recruitment process will include interviews and a possible aptitude assessment. The first interviews are preliminarily scheduled to take place on weeks 41 and 42.
