Being part of a small, but highly functional Insurance team, the Insurance Sales Manager for Finland will play a pivotal role for Santander, working closely with colleagues across the Nordic countries. This role will focus on point-of-sale (POS) insurance sales at car dealerships as well as sales in telemarketing and digital channels. You will also collaborate with local commercial functions, operations, legal and compliance teams.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Target Achievement
Drive and maximize POS sales performance at car dealerships.
Ensure sales targets are met across all distribution channels in Finland.
Strategic Support & Innovation
Support the execution of the insurance strategy with a focus on both dealership distribution, telemarketing and digital channels.
Implement improvements and innovation initiatives both locally and across the Nordic region.
Customer Experience Enhancement
Optimize customer journeys at all channels to enhance customer experiences.
Improve funnel management and sales/distribution processes compliant with regulations.
Relationship Management
Build and grow relationships with car dealerships and other external partners.
Collaborate with the Insurance team to test and improve products and processes.
Portfolio Analysis & Feedback
Track, monitor, and analyze the performance of insurance products.
Provide feedback and follow up with sales teams and internal and external stakeholders.
Training & Reporting
Train dealership and telemarketing staff on new products and sales techniques in collaboration with Insurance Product Managers.
Report on sales activities, results, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Marketing & Campaigns
Develop, together with Marketing, materials and campaigns tailored for POS and digital sales.
Organize sales competitions and manage commissions for dealership sales teams.
Skills & Requirements
Personal Characteristics
Proven experience in POS sales, particularly in car dealerships.
Strong selling and negotiating skills with the ability to influence and win support.
Team-oriented, supportive, and pleasant to work with.
Result-oriented with pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Driven and determined, with the ability to maintain focus and control under pressure.
Competencies and Skills
Proactive with initiative-taking abilities and responsibility for results.
Commercially astute, positively impacting business growth and profitability.
Effective network builder and collaborator.
Fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English.
Preferred Experience & Education
Over 3 years of specialist experience within the insurance or financial services industry, with experience in POS sales at car dealerships.
Demonstrable success in sales roles.
Knowledge of insurance products, services, and processes, preferably from banc assurance, insurance companies, or insurance distribution.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Accounting, or a related field.
