Product Manager (H/F/X) - KrakenFlow
Paris
FULL TIME
October 21, 2024
We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.
It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.
Kraken Customer
What we do: build the most AI-driven, innovative, forward-thinking platform for energy management. From optimizing resources to delivering cost-effective, exceptional customer experiences through advanced Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications, Kraken is powering the next wave of innovation in the energy industry.
Why we do it: future energy will not look like energy as we know it today. We need to not just think about our future, but build for it. Now.
What We’re Building at Kraken: At Kraken, we are creating the most innovative platform that powers the energy system of tomorrow. Our technologies span across the entire renewable energy ecosystem—ranging from CRM and billing software for energy retailers to grid flexibility solutions, renewable energy generation, and workforce management for engineers installing cutting-edge low-carbon technologies in homes.
Why We Do It: The future of energy will be radically different from what we know today. We’re not just imagining that future—we’re building it, and we need to act now. This is why we’re looking for a proactive and motivated Product Manager to join our newly formed Kraken Flow team.
What is Kraken Flow: Kraken Flow is set to revolutionize how we manage and automate business processes within Kraken. Imagine a low-code/no-code tool, but one that’s deeply integrated into the Kraken ecosystem. Flow empowers everyone, whether they’re developers or non-developers, to design, build, and automate business processes through a user-friendly drag-and-drop interface.
If you’re passionate about building innovative products that shape the future of energy and empowering users with powerful tools, we want you on our team.
What does the role look like? As a Product Manager at Kraken Flow, you’ll be at the heart of defining and shaping the future of our platform. Your role is critical in guiding the product's journey - from conception to launch and throughout its lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and lead without rigid authority, helping to influence and inspire as we develop products that align with Kraken’s core mission. You’ll need to be comfortable balancing autonomy with accountability, leading by example, and taking ownership of both the product and your team’s success.
What you’ll do:
- Deepen your knowledge: You’ll deepen your understanding of Kraken Flow and other Kraken products and then explore business and user needs to refine the product vision and set goals to achieve it
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: You’ll gather requirements and translate them into tasks for developers, ensuring smooth collaboration with designers, developers, and other stakeholders at Kraken
- Handle ambiguity: You’ll be dealing with ambiguity and will need to address issues by analyzing diverse sources of information with a structured and facilitate approach, experimenting to validate hypotheses and find suitable solutions
- Plan, deliver, validate: You’ll prioritize work to maximize business value, apply agile principles pragmatically and collaborate with the team to ensure effective and efficient delivery, while mitigating risks and reducing dependencies
- Lead and influence: You’ll create a strong sense of purpose and mission for the development team, lead product initiatives with personal accountability, embed our vision for Flow into the overall strategy of Kraken and advocate for the product in the organization
What you’ll bring:
- In addition to experience in product management, we’re seeking candidates who embody Kraken’s values of autonomy, responsibility, and purpose. Our ideal candidate takes ownership, drives change, and continuously seeks to improve both their work and the team’s effectiveness. At Kraken, we know that no one comes in as the perfect fit in every area, but what matters most is a willingness to grow, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to our shared mission of driving sustainable innovation. We’re looking for individuals who are strong in some areas, eager to develop in others, and ready to bring their unique skills to help make our team greater than the sum of its parts.
If you excel in these areas and are driven to close any gaps, we encourage you to apply:
- Passion for clients: Putting customers and clients first is at the heart of what we do. If you’re dedicated to understanding and exceeding expectations, you’ll fit right in.
- Communication excellence: You’re able to communicate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, ensuring that your message resonates with your audience
- Strategic and Hands-On Thinking: Whether it’s aligning product initiatives with long-term goals or rolling up your sleeves to execute a feature, you’re adaptable and thrive in a dynamic environment. You embrace experimentation and calculated risk-taking
- Innovative Problem Solver: You’re a creative thinker who enjoys tackling complex problems
- Tech and Data Acumen: While you don’t need to be an engineer, a basic understanding of technical concepts is key and you’re comfortable using data to inform decisions
- Leadership without Authority: You know how to influence and guide teams toward common goals
- Team Play: Collaboration is key at Kraken. You’re ready to support your team and hold yourself accountable
-
UX Know How: This one is completely optional but highly appreciated and we encourage current UX designers to apply as a product manager
Why else you’ll love it here
- Wondering what the salary is for this position? Ask us! During our initial contact, this is something we always bring up, because we really want to match your experience with the right salary. The reason we don't talk about it here is that we have a degree of flexibility and would never want salary to be a reason why someone doesn't apply to Octopus - what's more important to us is finding the right octofit!
-
