Electrical Engineer for Protection and Control (f/m/d)

As an Electrical Engineer for Protection and Control you will be technical responsible for definition, costing and delivery of AC protection and control solutions in tender work as well as in execution projects.

How you'll make an impact
- Translate customer specifications and protection schemes into conceptual design, and formulating clear requirements to our sub-suppliers
- Evaluate sub-supplier quotes based on the specified requirements and future design
- Continuously monitor the design and manufacturing process, as well as leading the design team in the dialogue with our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Review of detailed protection panel design, including interfaces to main components as and intercommunication links
- Ensure compatibility between functional requirements, panel design, relay configuration and settings prior to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Review suppliers test program and supervise Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Remotely assist installation and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as needed
Your background
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Software Engineering or related
- 5+ years of work experience
- Experience from power systems studies and grid codes, have the ability to evaluate correctness of protection coordination and setting calculations
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English
- Good understanding of relay protection schemes - including protection, control, measurement, and supervision functionalities
- Experience in local regulations and standards for AC Protection and Control
- General knowhow in protection and control panel design, including typical and business requirements and best practices
- Experience from reading technical specifications and managing sub-suppliers
