The Parent Family Community Engagement (PFCE)/ Governance/ERSEA Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) Coordinator, leads, plans, monitors, and coordinates activities for PFCE, Governance, and ERSEA. Ensures program integrity, compliance, and ongoing monitoring for federal and state eligibility, and program policies and procedures. This role involves overseeing and executing initiatives for parent engagement. The individual in this position is responsible for leading parent governance. They will have oversight of the Parent Family Community Engagement (PFCE), governance, and ERSEA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management : Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and monitor PFCE, ERSEA, and Governance programs in line with policies.
Collaboration: Coordinate with content areas and community agencies to support families and ensure resource availability.
Family Engagement: Implement and monitor family engagement programs; track participant progress and resolve issues.
Training: Provide training and technical assistance to staff, partners, and parents; update policies as needed.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to Head Start standards and regulations; monitor program data and compliance.
Enrollment: Oversee eligibility, recruitment, selection, and enrollment processes; ensure compliance with funded enrollment and attendance.
Strategic Planning: Use community assessment data for planning; lead recruitment and strategic planning efforts.
Governance: Establish and maintain shared governance structures; manage policy groups and Parent Committees.
Event Management: Coordinate parent engagement events and annual training for parent representatives.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure data security; prepare and review reports.
Supervision: Conduct personnel evaluations; supervise staff and ensure effective communication.
Community Involvement: Participate in local events; travel to various sites for meetings, conferences, and training.
Miscellaneous: Perform related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Principles and techniques of family and community service development.
· Training curricula and trends in family and community engagement and family engagement in kindergarten transitions.
· Methods in assessing and evaluating the quality and delivery of family and community partnership services.
· Knowledgeable about human development, prenatal, infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and maternal family and community services.
· Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, and related federal legislation.
· Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework.
· Enrollment, recruitment, selection, eligibility, and attendance systems for CDE and or Head Start.
· Methods and techniques of staff development and professional development.
· Assessment techniques to consult with assigned agencies on identifying strengths and needs of children and families.
· Community resources including family support services, emergency and crisis services, and child protective services.
· Cultural differences that influence parenting skills and family environments.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree, in social work, or related field.
· Family Development Credential preferred or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
· Four (4) years’ experience as a social worker in Head Start or other social service agency; Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
· Bilingual- Spanish preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
