We are a remote-first climate tech start-up based in Germany that uses technology to advance the vision of a net-zero economy.

Simplifying calculations of carbon emissions is our aspiration, aiming to enable companies to take data-driven decision-making on lowering their carbon footprint as efficient and swift as possible, granting them transparency and control over their own emission reports.

We’re still young, and ideas and developments are fast and changing, but we’re aiming for stable enterprise software while scaling up the already existing customers we've built over the last 4 years.
To expand our development team, we are looking for similarly open-minded people who are ready to take responsibility and make their contribution to this exciting growth phase known. If you are eager to learn and tackle the climate problems of today, you are the perfect fit for our growing team.

What you do:

As a Software Engineer at Klima.Metrix you will

• Learn, understand, and take ownership of the product as you will design, develop, test, and deploy frontend and backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability and low latency
• Take advantage of state of the art technology to solve real problems for our customers
• Gain exposure to designing and building a Saa S product in a cross-functional team of a B2B start-up environment
• Find the opportunity to unfold your creativity and thrive as a professional in a psychologically safe environment
• Come up with your own MVP based on your own area of interest to deliver a mission-critical feature

What you need to fit in well with us:

• Based in Germany with valid work permit
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in anything (both is an external requirement, since we are hiring for a research project; they do not display our personal opinion)
• Strong development ability in one or many general purpose programming languages such as Java, Java Script, Python
• Have foundational knowledge in Object-oriented Programming, Relational Databases, Software Testing
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
• A growth mindset and curiosity to explore and learn new tech
• Appreciates cultural differences in an internationally diverse team
• Strong development ability in one or many general purpose programming languages such as Java, Java Script, Python
• Have foundational knowledge in Object-oriented Programming, Relational Databases, Software Testing

Optional things that impress us:

• experience in tax accounting
