Student Admissions Specialist (w/m/d)

accredited, decidedly internationally oriented university of applied sciences in Berlin with currently
around 600 students. The BI offers degree programs in the areas of architecture, design and business
administration. English is the language of instruction in all bachelor's and master's degree programs
as well as the business language.
We are now looking for a Student Admissions Specialist (f/m/d) in part-time or full-time (50-100%),
from November 2024.
The purpose of the job is to promote the university’s and company’s products and services by
handling the full admission cycle process in every aspect, and to help maximize revenue through
assisting in Marketing activities including gaining leads, and turning them into applicants and
students.
The tasks performed by the Admissions Office are diverse and involve an interesting combination of
administration, service, data processing and partner relationship management.
Tasks
Be the first contact for study prospects by phone, email or in person
Correspond with applicants at every stage of the application process
Keep engagement to applicants with the aim to turn them into students
Prepare and Host online and on-campus events with the help of the Marketing Team
Attend education fairs online or in Berlin, Germany and abroad
Evaluate incoming applications in accordance to the recommendations of the standing
Conference of Ministers of Education and BI admission requirements
Manage the application process for all program, including review and interview arrangements
with the faculties, payments and new student arrivals
Prepare reports reflecting application numbers
Knowledge and Skills
You have successfully completed a professional apprenticeship or degree program, preferably in a
sales, administration or service oriented role. You may also be suitable if you come from a different
background, but ideally you have gained at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar field
and know how to promote services, look after administrative tasks as well as work with people from
different countries and cultures.
You are confident using the Microsoft Office package and ideally have worked with a data
management program before. You speak and write English and German fluently. Knowledge of
further languages is a plus.
You know how to set priorities and following timelines, don’t shy away from questioning processes
and assist with improving them. You create a proactive and organized work environment and think
beyond your own department and tasks.
