The Back Office ensures the correct and timely processing and invoicing of all trading activities, which take place on the international energy and energy-related commodity markets. The transactions done at RWE Supply & Trading Gmb H include derivatives paper trading as well as physical products.
Currently, we are looking for a new working student in our team in order to support us in our daily processes. Within Collateral Management & Clearing Operations, we process all exchange traded deals as well as the collateralization of all OTC (over the counter) traded deals. Our office is located at RWE’s headquarter in Essen and we look forward to having you in the office on a regular basis.
About the role

• Supporting the Clearing / Collateral team within operational processes, e.g. reporting tasks, daily margining, daily checks (e.g. brokerage checks), invoicing, data analysis with the objective to contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Support in process automation and testing of IT applications.
• Readiness to take over small projects after trainings (e.g. management of broker invoicing process) and contribute ideas for process improvements and their realisation.
• Documentation of processes with regards to audit and compliance requirements.

Job requirements and experience

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s studies in management, economics or a comparable field of study in an advanced semester with passion for international energy commodity markets and / or IT related topics.
• Highly motivated, committed and a Team player.
• Very good analytical skills and communication skills.
• Very good knowledge in Microsoft 365 applications (especially Excel).
• Sound English skills, both in writing and verbally.

Advantageous, but not essential

• Preferable knowledge of SAP ERP, Openlink Endur and Power BI.
• Preferable knowledge of international energy markets and commodity trading.
