Working Student - Functional & Stereotactic Neurosurgery

Job Description
Our Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery R&D team is looking for a motivated Working Student to support various projects. We develop state of the art medical device software solutions for complex procedures in the fields of Neurosurgery and Neurology, in particular for the treatment of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and for epilepsy. This includes for example Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG). Our vision is to enable optimized and scalable functional neurosurgery workflows which ultimately improve patient outcomes and make treatments more accessible worldwide.
As a Working Student, you would be based in our headquarters in Munich and your responsibilities would include supporting our team with e.g. the following:
- R&D equipment management
- System installations for colleagues or demos
- Implementation of new processes and other administrative tasks
- Creation of internal and external education materials
- Data analysis in the context of clinical studies
Qualifications
- Studies in Neuroscience, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Medicine or related disciplines
- Excellent organizational skills, a structured working style, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- An analytical mindset and creativity in problem-solving
- The ability to work effectively both alone and with limited supervision or as part of a collaborative team of diverse individuals
- Availability for at least 12 months
- Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus
- Strong mathematical skills (Linear Algebra or Statistics) and/or Matlab experience are a plus
