Advent Technologies is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Accountant in Athens, Greece.

Job Summary
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our powerful Finance & Accounting team. The position is full-time, based in Athens.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Posting of accounting entries to the accounting system of the business (Navision Business Central 365),
· Monthly bank reconciliation and reconciliation for all accounts (e.g. customers, supplies, etc) to the respective ledgers and trial balances,
· Monthly preparation of the Fixed Assets Register (Tax and Accounting Fixed Assets Register),
· Accounts payables processing: Reviewing and processing supplier and vendor invoices, recording of payments in the systems,
· Inventories monitoring, processing of assembly orders, stock count monitoring, reconciliation with accounting ledgers,
· Monitoring of sales workflows (issuing of sales invoices, delivery notes, delivery confirmations, etc.),
· Preparation of tax returns (income tax, VAT-VIES, withholding taxes, etc.),
· Reconciliation and verification of monthly tax liabilities for payment purposes,
· Supervision of the compliance of the company's accounting system with the provisions of Greek and US GAAP,
· Contribution to month-end and year-end financial close activities, as well as providing feedback to our external auditors.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
· 2-5 years of relevant experience.
· Experience with ERPs (experience with Navision will be a plus).
· Very Good Excel Skills.
· Fluent in English (spoken and written).
· Flexibility and ability to work within a culturally diverse global company.
· Accuracy and detail orientation.

· Self-motivation and resilience.
· Hands-on attitude and Problem Solving.
· Customer Service Orientation.
