We are looking for a:

"Director of Performance/Business Controlling"
The life of a Director of Performance/Business Controlling @LEROY MERLIN:
The Director of Performance/Business Controlling reports directly to the Finance & Performance Director (CFO).
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive Committee to define the company-level Strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Ensure that Key Results are reflected in the OKRs of various challenges (Stores, Markets, Supply Chain, etc.).
• Lead the animation and follow-up processes at the Executive Committee level, identifying defects and areas for improvement in project and business management. Promote corrective actions as needed.
• Consolidate monthly performance data from the team, compare actual results against plans/objectives, and provide clear explanations of successes and failures.
• Manage a team of Performance Data Leaders who are each dedicated to one or more specific challenges (such as Stores Activity, Markets, Supply Chain, etc.). Ensure that these leaders are effectively driving their respective areas towards the company's strategic goals.
• Lead the team to review identified improvement opportunities and propose new economic models.
• Ensure team members participate in project prioritization committees to validate the prioritization of projects based on value creation.
• Ensure that all analyses, tools, and reports produced by the team are used to drive business decisions and generate value for the company.
• Promote the creation of forecasting models and simulation tools to facilitate company-wide decision-making. Introduce strategic topics for the team to address.
• Identify and leverage automation opportunities, whether in alerting systems or process automation. Coordinate between digital teams and the performance team to implement these initiatives.

We will have the perfect match if you have:

Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in business/financial controlling. Experience in operations and retail, particularly in areas such as Supply Chain, Offer, or Data, is a significant advantage.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong autonomy and a pioneering spirit.
• Ability to lead and implement company strategies across various support domains.
• Managerial proximity with the capability to develop junior or less experienced team members.
• Talent for identifying and developing resource pools in alignment with the Business Unit's growth ambitions.
• Strong organizational skills to establish and maintain impactful management routines.
• Results-driven with a strong appetite for challenges in a highly competitive market (both retail and labor markets).

Language Skills:

• Excellent level of English required with the ability to communicate effectively and influence in a foreign language.

• Must have a willingness to get hands dirty, creatively solve problems, and find freedom within constraints.
