Java Developer (5340/JDE/ESS/GR)

Locations: Athens/Thessaloniki

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications for global clients across various industries. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable Java applications based on client requirements.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including senior developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.

Conduct unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and functionality of the software, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs in a timely manner.

Collaborate with peers for code reviews and offer constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for reference, including design documents and user guides.

Stay up-to-date with the latest Java frameworks, tools, and technologies, and apply them to enhance software performance and capabilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Hands-on experience in Java development, working with large-scale applications.

Proficiency in Spring Boot for building RESTful services and microservices architecture.

Experience working with IDEs such as Eclipse or Intelli J IDEA.

Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., My SQL, Postgre SQL) and ORM tools like Hibernate.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git for source code management.

Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.

Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is an added advantage.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.

Ability to work effectively within teams, participate in brainstorming sessions, and offer creative solutions.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and industry best practices.
