Job Summary:
We are offering an internship with the Global Technical Team, GTT, to help build Multiphysics workflows combining power electronics with thermal, electromagnetics, & mechanical systems. You will also work with fit models and machine learning as we look to better integrate data and AI into the design of the next generation of power converters and motor drives. You will collaborate with global colleagues with diverse technical backgrounds and learn to work in a multinational team. You will be mentored by colleagues with strong technical abilities looking to push the boundaries of what can be done with simulation.What You Will Do:

• Model various types of power converter topologies

• Work on machine learning tools and build fit models for power converters

• Work with 3D thermal simulations for power converters

• Use automated optimization and sensitivity analysis tools

• Couple power electronics projects with low and high frequency electromagnetics FEA tools

• Document and Produce public material out of your projects

What You Will Need:
Basics:

• Located in Greece

• In the final year of your undergraduate or beginning your masters degree in electrical engineering focusing on power electronics

• Working knowledge of a few typical power converters

• Familiarity with common control techniques for power supplies and motor drives (e.g., FOC)

• Solid understanding of heat transfer and loss mechanisms in power electronics systems

• Hands on experience in modeling/building a power converter or motor drive

• Worked with any circuit simulation tool

• Programming experience in C, python or matrix-based languages

Preferred:

• Programmed any sort of embedded device

• Worked with a 3D CAD or thermal simulation tool

• Worked with a PCB layout tool

• Interest in machine learning and data analytics

• Worked with a finite element electromagnetics solver

• Meshing experience
