Scala developer

As a developer you will be working in a small, cross-functional data platform team that delivers (continuously and in an
agile setup) self-service BI Solutions to our business users and reports to our customers. You will extend and improve
the custom applications the platform consists of.


Responsibilities:

• Design solutions for data-intensive applications

• Create and maintain solutions for data extraction, processing and ingestion (ETL)

• Further develop APIs for interfacing with other parts of the company

• Develop custom tools for improving our development and operating experience

• Design, create and maintain data models for structured and time series data

• Design, improve and extend existing BI- & Reporting-Solutions

• Create & maintain End-User-Facing Dashboards (incl. according data models)

Qualifications:

• Hands on experience with pure functional programming, e.g.: Haskell, Coq��, Ada

• Knowledge of the JVM, Scala, and sbt ecosystem

• Interested in good code and not just blind adherence to standard practices

• Knowledge in stream-based Big Data platforms like Apache Kafka, Apache Flink

• Working experience with relational databases, data warehouses and advanced SQL

• Experience in REST APIs is a plus

• Experience in Python is a plus

• Proper source management and CI/CD processes (git, Gitlab CI)

• Proficient at written and spoken English
