Senior Civil Engineer for TEMES SA

Additionally, TEMES owns a controlling stake in Ionian Hotel Enterprises S.A., owner of a historic and flagship property in the center of Athens and also has a strategic agreement with Lamda Development S.A. with a majority stake, for the joint development of two state of the art, luxury hotels and residential complexes on the landmark Ellinikon project.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer. The position is for at least one year in Pilos, Messenia – upon project handover with the option of moving afterwards in future Ellinikon projects.
Responsibilities
- Leading the construction process on-site
- Supervising the on-site team, including construction workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating contractors, monitoring materials, organizing equipment, and scheduling deliveries.
- Assisting with the procurement processes, planning resources, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solving any problems or challenges that arise on-site.
- Keeping the project to its timescales by managing the construction schedule.
- Budgeting and managing project costs.
- Providing progress reports and regularly communicating with the management and project team.
- Coordinating site meetings and visits.
- Contributing to the project planning by liaising with the client, contractors, and principal designer.
- Monitoring and mitigating any risks arising on-site.
- Managing health and safety, including compliance with regulations, the Health and Safety file, site safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns or incidents that arise on-site.
- Adhering to quality standards and any applicable building codes and regulations.
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the construction industry
- Fluent in Greek
- Very good knowledge of English
- Fluent in MS Office
- Well-organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Desire to grow within a team environment
