Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Facilities Maintenance team, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure departmental goals are met.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules for all facilities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations, or other projects driven by the higher management of our Organization.
• Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and address facility-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to assess maintenance needs, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing facility operations and maintenance.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for outsourced maintenance services, negotiating terms and monitoring performance to ensure quality and value.

• Develop and maintain maintenance records, documentation, and reports to track work orders, expenditures, and facility performance metrics.
• Lead emergency response efforts and contingency planning for facility-related emergencies, such as power outages, natural disasters, or safety incidents.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize maintenance processes, procedures, and technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall facility performance, in an environmental manner.
• Report to her/his manager in terms of Budget (OPEX-CAPEX), electricity and water usage, machinery downtime and other KPIs, as per management’s guidelines.
• Monitor and report via SCADA the operation of the cold storage chambers.
• Keep up-to-date all the necessary permits (buildings) and certificates (machinery) of the facilities under his supervision.
• Coordinate tasks with external collaborators to achieve maximum compliance with regulations in terms of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE).
• Maintain a record of permits and truck maintenance history within the Organization, through the company's CMMS Software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Technical Institute or Polytechnic School).
• Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related field, with at least 3 years of managerial experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
• Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive maintenance practices and risk management.
• Thorough knowledge of building E/M systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Knowledge in facilities management software and computer-aided maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge in CAD design software (Auto CAD) is a plus.
