The Security and Trusted Computing Group at UBITECH conducts interdisciplinary research in most aspects of computer and information security, ranging from advanced cryptography and access control mechanisms, for ensuring secrecy and authentication in todays’ communications, to the design, analysis and implementation of novel protection mechanisms for enhanced security, privacy, trustworthiness, and reliability in numerous emerging Io T applications. Through methods such as applied cryptography, hardware enhanced security, modelling and security analysis of systems, and verification, we are building security into new technology, providing assurance to the user that they are interacting with a trusted platform. Our research focuses on cryptography; trusted computing; secure communications; privacy and authentication; and security verification – with applications in, e.g., automotive, future Internet and 5G, smart grid, healthcare, e Payment, etc.

Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience developing reasonably complex, high-quality software and maintaining service and testing environments. This also includes the design of security solutions best suited for achieving a specific set of requirements – drive the identification of most appropriate technologies to use (i.e., Intrusion Detection, Firewall Configuration, etc.);
- Analyze security requirements and apply industry-recognized methodologies to translate them into effective security controls;
- Experience with Typescript, React, and Node.js is a plus;
- Experience with cloud native applications and orchestration including Kubernetes;
- Web- and Cloud-relevant, such as Java, Ruby, Rust, Go, Python, PHP, C#, Lua, and Java Script;
- Experience with the technologies regarding cloud service provision and the security features they provide (Key & Secret management, IAM, Service Accounts, Workload / VM Identities, TLS / PKI, Load Balancing, storage encryption, data localization, etc.).
- Experience with application authentication, authorization, identity, access management, and secrets management technologies, such as OAuth, MFA, SSO, JWT, PKI, Cloud IAM, Password-less authentication, Wazhu, etc.
- Experience with cloud confidential computing, virtualization, enclaves, containers, and workload attestation technologies.
- Proven track record of writing robust unit, integration, and E2E tests.
