Caritas-Hong Kong is a Catholic charitable agency which provides, among others, multi-service social welfare/ services to needy people of Hong Kong. The Finance Office is looking for responsible and industrious candidates for the following position.

A number of vacancies is available for this post. The incumbents will work under the supervision of Senior Accounting Officer II (SAO II) for duties of either General Ledger and Reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform daily accounting duties for general ledger, e.g. preparation of journals, and bank reconciliation, etc.

Assist in preparation of month-end/ year-end closing activities

Assist in the preparation of analyses of accounts and monthly reporting statement for service units and projects

Liaise with internal and/ or external parties on accounting/ payment matters

Participate in fundraising activities (e.g., Caritas Bazaar)

Provide administrative support and participate in other ad hoc projects as required

Any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

F.5 or above with 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese, English & Mathematics; or Level 2 or above in the 4 core subjects of HKDSE with LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and Accounts; and no less than 2 years of relevant experience; OR

Degree/ Higher Diploma in Accounting/ Business Management/ Commerce or equivalent and preferably with some relevant work experience and LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and Accounts

Familiar with major ERP Systems is an advantage but not essential

Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) and Chinese Word Processing

Detail-oriented and self-motivated with can-do attitude, good team player, able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadline, hard-working, well organized, eager to learn, flexible and patient

Immediate availability is highly preferred

Work Location: Caine Road, Mid-Levels

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

Contract: A 1-year full-time contract will be offered with subsequent contract renewal based on performance.
