The role

• Ensure compliance with HKSAR Occupational Health & Safety legislation and related Airport Authority By-Laws.
• To carry out the investigation for all accidents/incidents/work injuries which include but not limited to staff interview, identify the root cause(s), prepare reports, and monitor the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
• Conduct daily safety patrol to observe staff safety awareness whilst identifying unsafe acts by rectifying and educating our colleagues.
• Formulate/implement Safety Audit and Inspection programme for Operations and make proper recommendations.
• To participate in the Safety audits which are initiated by the Airport Authority and customer airlines.
• Provide safety training to MCAS employees to ensure they understand safety protocols and procedures.
• Implement safety improvement initiatives and carry out all Safety promotion matters such as Safety campaign and safety posters etc.
• As the Safety Representative to participate in external Safety Committee and meetings e.g., AA Ramp Operations Safety Committee (ROSC), Ramp Operations Safety Work Group (ROSWG)… etc.
• Work related task which was assigned by the Management

The Person

• Higher Diploma or above, preferrable in discipline of Occupational Health and Safety discipline
• At least 1 year working experience in the aviation industry and/or Safety Management
• Possession of valid Hong Kong driving license (class 2) is an advantage
• Willing to perform night shift in the airport.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Computer literacy, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, photoshop, etc.
• Possess of First Aid Certificate is an advantage
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Safety Officer
