Contract Property Assistant
CONTRACT

(a) a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Real Estate or property related field from a Hong Kong recognised University / Polytechnic or the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a Technical College / Technical Institute, or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (See Note 1) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
(c) those with 1 year’s working experience in valuation, estate surveying or property related work are preferred.
(a) surveying and referencing landed properties which include the preparation of plans and reports, collecting and collating information relating to landed properties for rating, Government rent and other purposes;
(b) carrying out site inspection and preparing inspection reports of sites and properties;
(c) compiling and analysing property transactions and data;
(d) leasing and purchasing of offices and quarters for Government use;
(e) property management work;
(f) administration of the Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) Ordinance;
(g) handling public enquiries and correspondence;
(h) conducting verification and matching of property records;
(i) maintaining office and file records;
(j) performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors; and
(k) is required to work both outdoor and indoor.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend recruitment examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. The Government policy and other related measures on employment of persons with disabilities are set out in the booklet “Employ People Based on Their Abilities – Application for Government Jobs by Persons with Disabilities” which is available for reference on the Civil Service Bureau's website at https://www.csb.gov.hk under “Administration of the Civil Service – Appointments”.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts, certificates and documents in support of applicant’s academic and professional qualification as well as working experience by mail to the below contact address WITHIN ONE WEEK after close of application period.
(b) Completed application forms together with a copy of the certificates showing the results achieved in Chinese and English languages, transcripts, documents in support of applicants’ academic qualification, professional qualification as well as working experience and supporting documents mentioned in the entry requirements should reach the contact address below on or before the closing date for application. Applications received after the stated closing date will NOT be considered.
(c) The postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application. Please specify the title of the post being applied for on the envelope and ensure the mail item bears sufficient postage. Applications which are incomplete, late, submitted by fax or email, not made in the prescribed form, or without the required documents under item (b) above will NOT be considered.
(d) Applicants may also apply online through the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Candidates who apply online should submit copies of the above supporting documents WITHIN ONE WEEK after close of the application period to the contact address below (or by email to appointments2@rvd.gov.hk), and the online application number should be quoted on the envelope and the supporting documents. If candidates fail to provide the supporting documents as requested, their applications will NOT be considered.
(e) Invitation to the recruitment interview will be issued via email. Please ensure that accurate email address is provided and that your email account can receive incoming emails properly. Candidates for the above vacancy who are not invited for interview by 30 November 2024 should assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
