Head of Department, Performing Arts
Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Performing Arts teaching-related internal and external departmental communications
• Ensure smooth running of all PA courses across all campuses and maintain high quality standards for both online and on-campus classes
• Supervise external PA-related events and examinations, and strive for high performance levels
• Supervise all PA-related productions to ensure maximum engagement and impact
• Share expertise and carry out continuous teacher observation and training to improve teaching quality
• Be an expert in all PA-related curriculum, courses, and external events
• Prepare for and teach quality PA classes
• Create high quality curriculum for PA delivery
• Allocate and proofread PA teachers' content for curriculum and check accompanying resources
• Manage sourcing and storage of PA teaching-related resources
• Allocate and delegate course coordinator responsibilities to team members
• Supervise and create content for marketing (eg for open days and events) to showcase PA Department
• Work within the departmental budget
• Support the recruitment and ongoing performance management of PA teachers
• Plan and allocate leave for PA teachers
• Ensure the health and safety of students in your care at all times

Requirements:

• Passion in teaching
• Love children
• Good communication skills with children
• High proficiency in English writing and speaking
• Diploma in Drama Performance/ Grade 8 or above in NEA/ LAMDA/ Trinity Examinations (for Drama Teacher)
• With prior experience in stage and drama productions
• At least 8 years of experience in teaching drama at a school or learning centre
