Hong Kong China Rugby’s (HKCR) Business Department is the team behind the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens and responsible for the marketing and delivery of all rugby promotion in Hong Kong.


Job Summary
Our ideal Marketing Assistant will assist the team in maintaining the HKCR and Hong Kong Sevens websites, supporting the management and delivery of marketing on our digital touchpoints, as well as assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing activities. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about web, creative and always scouting for new digital trends. On a day-to-day basis you will work across the Business Department functional teams and engage internal stakeholders across the entire organisation to promote rugby in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the HKCR and Hong Kong Sevens websites to ensure accurate and engaging on-page content that showcases our events, media, image galleries, and e-commerce products and pages. Manage the support relationship with internal stakeholders, and external digital agency for maintenance service
• Engage and support internal HKCR stakeholders with the creation and delivery of digital acquisition, engagement, conversion and retention strategies
• Provide post-campaign analytic and audience insights on digital and ticketing platforms and present performance back to internal Business Department stakeholders
• Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing campaigns and activity across all marketing channels, with knowledge and experience in PPC Google and Meta advertising
• Support the Business Department marketing objectives to increase and improve reach and engagement across website and social channels
• Support in the day-to-day campaign, audiences, and delivery of the external email marketing platform (Mailchimp)
• Assist in the creation of engaging, on-trend social media content and marketing material
• Support the Business Department Commercial team in the delivery of marketing rights to Sponsors and Partners through CRM system
• Support the department on HKCR-run events, ensuring an engaging and inspiring fan experience
• Assist the HKCR Communications team with translation of marketing material, social media captions, press releases, and assist with other public relations activities

Your Profile

• Qualification in either Marketing, Public Relations, or Digital Media
• Minimum 2-4 years relevant experience in an organisational environment
• Passionate about marketing with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Thrives under pressure, comfortable working to tight deadlines and takes ownership of achieving key deliverables
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Business Manager, Ads Manager, Mailchimp. Previous experience with a CRM is advantageous
• Well-developed digital and social media skills and a working knowledge of current marketing digital trends
• A team player with a love of rugby and sports is an advantage
• Bi-lingual in English and Cantonese with an ability to translate well
