Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Los Angeles, Cathay Bank is the oldest Chinese bank in the United States. We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic candidate for the following position:

GENERAL SUMMARY

He/She is responsible to ensure all systems are proper running and perform first line support of information technology to all users’ departments. He/She is also responsible for assisting Head of I.T. to manage and process I.T. project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions include the following tasks:
Responsible for performing end of day batch and backup of all systems.

Provide level one I.T. support to all users’ department.

Work with Head Office and external vendors to maintain the office infrastructure such as network devices and make sure all the system is running properly.

Participate in hardware and software implementation.

Apply patches to software whenever necessary requested by Head Office.

Coordinate with external vendors to resolve IT issues.

Execute the annual Disaster Recovery Drill to test the effectiveness of the plan.

Provide help and support on office automation.

Assist Head of I.T. to manage I.T. project.

Co-ordinate with Head Office I.T. department, to apply corporate I.T. policy and security measures in Hong Kong office.

Other duties as assigned by Head of I.T.

Experience in managing the physical and virtual server environments (VMware, AWS and Azure).

Have familiarity with MS SQL servers.

Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.

Manage storage allocations in accordance with best practices.

Perform and test routine system backups and restores.

Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on the servers.

Practice server asset management, including maintenance of server component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

Manage vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.

Manage the physical environment of the server racks including cable management, documentation, labeling, and configuration for console and remote access.

Have familiarity with NAS and SAN storage management, and MS DFS.

Working knowledge of network environments.

Stay abreast of technology trends, advances in technology and best practices.

Familiar with managing various Saa S services, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, spam filtering, managed AV, etc.

Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.

Experience in managing Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authorities, Licensing Servers and Group Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree in Information Technology or relevant academic background.

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in banking and finance.

Skills/Ability: Excellent knowledge of computer system, especially on AS400, Windows Server, VMware, TCPIP, network and Microsoft products. Strong ability to communicate with users in both spoken Cantonese & written English. Good ability on problem analysis & solving and project management. Willing to work independently and under pressure. Willing to learn new technology and systems. Knowledge of cloud technology is advantageous
