Job Description Summary:
The Manager of Membership Growth Initiatives will play a crucial role in driving membership acquisition, engagement, and retention for CFA Institute. Reporting to the Director of Membership Growth Initiatives, this position focuses on defining and implementing strategies and initiatives to grow our member base and enhance the overall member experience. This individual will advocate on behalf of our members, keeping their needs front and center of the membership team and other stakeholders.
This position is expected to be based in Hong Kong and will be eligible for flexible/hybrid/remote work.
Job Description:
The responsibilities of this role include:
  • Support the development and implementation of membership growth strategies to attract and retain new members.
  • Investigate and scope viable and actionable opportunities for attracting and retaining members.
  • Implement programs and services designed to enhance member retention and satisfaction.
  • Analyze member data and feedback to identify opportunities and actionable recommendations for improvement and growth
  • Conduct testing and research, as needed, to validate solutions.
  • Prepare presentations and documentation to support recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and regional teams on engagement and conversion strategies for membership growth initiatives, including for Level III passers.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and maintain member onboarding and communications processes to ensure a positive member experience.
  • Track and analyze membership data to monitor growth trends and measure the effectiveness of membership initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on membership data and analyses and present findings to the Senior Director and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize data insights to recommend and implement improvements to membership strategies, processes, and programs.
  • Understand our customers, products, and business and define opportunities to create innovative solutions that drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective members, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
The skills and experience required for this role are:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in membership development, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in executing successful membership growth and engagement strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
