Merchandising Planning & Buying Manager

The Career:
This role oversees the brand's overall performance through strategic planning, purchasing and subsequent monitoring of sales and inventory.
- Strategic Buying: Drive SPF growth, optimize P/L and ending inventory, and develop merchandising plans based on sales and trend forecasts for men’s/women’s product lines.
- Buying Optimization: Improve accuracy by determining category percentages, selecting styles and colors, and monitoring sales through visual merchandising and promotional activities.
- Supplier and Production Management: Coordinate with Production for quality and costing, manage discount rates and pricing, and forecast sales demand for men’s/women’s product lines.
- Budget and Performance: Meet sales budget and gross profit targets, review and endorse buy plans, and ensure efficient fabric usage and reservations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture, and provide timely product evaluations.
- Degree or higher in Fashion Retailing, Statistics, Supply Chain, Finance & Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- Expertise in buying and planning within high fashion or luxury brands.
- Strong networking, interpersonal, and communication skills, proficient in MS Excel.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
- Proficient in written and spoken Cantonese is a must.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
