Part-time Lecturer

IVE Engineering has organized a number of high-quality professional development programmes for engineering practitioners in the areas of Construction, Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical and Building Services and Transportation Engineering. Please refer to https://EDi T.vtc.edu.hk/ for details of the respective training programmes. In order to meet the increase in demand of our services, we are looking for high caliber professionals with relevant work experiences to provide part-time teaching in the following specialisms:


Specialisms:

(I)
Power System Overhead Lines


(II)
Electric Vehicle

  • Electric Vehicle Repair and Maintenance

  • Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric Vehicles and Components (High Voltage)

  • Electric Vehicle Construction and Investigation


    (III)
    Small Unmanned Aircraft (Practical Assessor)


    Major Duties:

    (a)
    To conduct lectures and perform other teaching related activities or duties, such as preparing teaching materials, setting assignments and examination papers, and marking both assignments and examination scripts for the programmes in the above subject areas (teaching materials and lectures will be in either Chinese or English);

    (b)
    To assist in maintaining the standard and quality of the training course; and

    (c)
    To attend coordination meetings when necessary.


    Requirements:

    (a)
    A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

    (b)
    At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

    (c)
    Experience in curriculum and training material development and instructional design is preferred;

    (d)
    Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and

    (e)
    For specialism (III) SUA (Practical Assessor), the applicant must be:

    (i)
    The Civil Aviation Department (CAD)’s approved practical assessor; and

    (ii)
    A holder of a valid Remote Pilot Certificate with an Advanced Rating issued by the CAD.
