- Master Scheduling and Delivery Management:
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to develop and execute master production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods to customers.
- Manage the material requirements planning process, including procurement, inventory management, and just-in-time delivery to support production needs.
- Oversee the monitoring and optimization of finished goods inventory levels to meet customer demands and maintain optimal stock turns.
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Lead the capacity planning, production scheduling, and materials planning activities for products with short lead times.
- Implement effective production scheduling strategies to optimize the utilization of production resources and minimize bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain robust material management systems to ensure the availability of necessary components and materials.
- Inventory and Logistics Management:
- Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline the inbound and outbound supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products.
- Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics, such as stock turns and excess, to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement and KPI Achievement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning and material control processes, aligning with the company's key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and tools to optimize production workflows and eliminate waste.
- Develop and track KPIs related to stock turns, excess inventory, and other relevant metrics to ensure the achievement of the company's operational goals.
- ERP/MRPII System Management:
- Leverage your expertise in ERP/MRPII systems, preferably SAP, to configure and maintain the necessary modules for effective production planning and material control.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the ERP/MRPII system, providing training and support to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement system enhancements that improve the overall efficiency of production planning and material control processes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning and material control management in the electronic manufacturing industry
- Proven track record in coordinating with internal departments to achieve master scheduling, finished goods delivery, and material management objectives
- Experience in leading a department responsible for capacity planning, production scheduling, materials planning, and inventory management for products with short lead times
- Demonstrated ability to achieve company KPIs, such as stock turns and excess inventory reduction
- Proficient knowledge of ERP/MRPII systems, preferably SAP, and their application in production planning and material control processes
- Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
