Global Institute for Emerging Technologies


The appointee will be responsible for providing support to the Global Institute for Emerging Technologies. He/she will support the Co-
Director in overseeing all activities and initiatives and managing the development and implementation of professional learning projects
and programmes related to emerging technologies. He/she will oversee and manage various projects to ensure the effectiveness and
efficiency of the implementation. He/she will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, including the senior management team,
project team members, and international scholars. The appointee will perform other duties as assigned by the Co-Director. Working off
campus and travels are occasionally required. The appointment will be for a period of 24 months.

Applicants should have a recognised University degree, and ideally a Master’s degree in Education, ICT in education or a related
discipline, with substantial years of post-qualification experience preferably in managing projects/programmes. Experience in managing
international education projects related to education technology/professional learning is preferred. Applicants should be proficient in both
English and Chinese. Applicants should also be able to work independently, be good team players, have good interpersonal and
communication skills, attentive to details, highly self-motivated, well-organised and able to work under pressure.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF
Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 15% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where
applicable, housing benefits.
